About Us
The Global Learning Observatory on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education.
Who we are
GLOBE-GenAI emerged from a shared vision among researchers and educators worldwide who recognized the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on education.
The initiative originated in December 2025 at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, from a small group of academics seeking to understand the rapidly evolving impact of Generative AI on education. Its foundation was the research project developed and approved as part of the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship 2026–2027 at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), India.
United by a shared purpose, GLOBE-GenAI seeks to advance a global understanding of how Generative AI is being used in higher education, and to explore how these technologies can be adopted responsibly, ethically and effectively to enhance learning and contribute to more inclusive and equitable educational systems.
Today, GLOBE-GenAI is a growing global community of researchers, led from Brazil and built collectively by an international scientific network. Read our story.
