Following months dedicated to establishing the international network, developing and translating the research instrument, obtaining ethical approvals, conducting revisions and completing pilot testing, GLOBE-GenAI is now advancing to its next operational stage.
The international data collection is expected to begin on October 1, 2026. From that point forward, students from universities across different countries will be invited to share their experiences, perspectives, concerns and expectations regarding Generative Artificial Intelligence.
A study designed to hear diverse voices
Research on this scale presents an important challenge: how can students from different parts of the world be heard while respecting linguistic diversity? The internationalization of the questionnaire therefore became a fundamental part of the project.
Translation into multiple languages is more than an operational requirement. It reflects the project's commitment to ensuring that students from diverse contexts can have their voices meaningfully represented.
How students take part
- Students aged 18 or older, enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs at participating institutions, can take part.
- The questionnaire is anonymous and hosted on REDCap, a secure research data platform.
- Participants choose their language through a dedicated link and agree to the electronic Informed Consent Form before starting.
- Answering takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Participation is voluntary and students may withdraw at any time.
Ultimately, this next phase transforms an initiative conceived in December 2025 into a global platform, amplifying the voices of thousands of university students worldwide.
