Prof. Arnon Hershkovitz of Tel Aviv University (Israel) and Prof. Kazumi Kubota of the National Center for Child Health and Development (Japan), both members of the GLOBE-GenAI network, met in Tokyo and initiated a collaboration.
The meeting came about through their network membership and was part of Prof. Hershkovitz's trip to Japan to attend the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education's Festival of Learning in Kumamoto, where he presented his work on AI and Learning Analytics.
The meeting took place at the National Center for Child Health and Development in Tokyo, where Prof. Hershkovitz and Prof. Kubota explored paths for collaboration.
Next steps
Promising paths include a comparative study of AI use in Japan and Israel, and a joint scoping review of AI uses among students.
